As the Founder & Co-owner, Evan's journey into the world of tattoos began after 26 prosperous years in the retail pack and ship industry. The allure of ink captivated him, leading him to establish Ink Boss. Evan's vision for a distinctive, upscale studio stems from his desire to create a warm and welcoming environment for all. This commitment to inclusivity is what sets Ink Boss apart. When he's not immersed in the world of Ink Boss, Evan takes pleasure in savoring the delightful South Florida weather. Additionally, he frequently embarks on journeys across the country to support his son's ice hockey endeavors, combining his love for family and sports.
jimmy tomes
Born in Detroit, MI, in 1980, Jimmy Tomes embarked on his tattooing journey through a formative apprenticeship at his family-operated tattoo parlor, Finest Touch Tattoos, back in 1995. Relocating to Florida alongside his wife in 2007, Jimmy has dedicated the past 12 years to his craft at a shop in Deerfield. While his primary passion lies in the realm of Black and Grey tattooing, Jimmy's artistic prowess extends to a remarkable eye for color and Japanese tattoo styles. With a versatile skill set and a deep understanding of aesthetics, he consistently delivers exceptional work that captivates his clientele.
ELVIS BABOC
Elvis, a native of Peru, has carried a deep passion for art since his early years. During his time in college, he nurtured a profound admiration for audiovisuals, which resulted in accolades and recognition for his films. In 2017, he made the life-altering decision to immigrate to Florida, reigniting his artistic flame. With its profound meaning and visual representation, the world of tattoos captivated Elvis's imagination. Inspired by this art form, he embarked on an apprenticeship at Ink Boss, where he could channel his creative energy. Elvis has various tattoo styles, including neo-traditional, black and gray, realism, Japanese, and cartoon/anime. Renowned artists such as George Burchett, Nikko Hurtado, and Jesse Smith are among his esteemed influences.
BAILEY C
At 23 years old, this talented individual hails from the lively San Francisco Bay Area, California, and has now established themselves as a fully licensed tattoo artist in scenic South Florida. Their journey into the tattoo industry commenced in 2020, marking the beginning of their deep immersion in the artistry and craftsmanship of this captivating field. They possess a strong affinity for the Black & Grey style, demonstrating a remarkable skill for bringing intricate Japanese and Chicano imagery to life. Moreover, their passion extends to the art of lettering, where they find great pleasure in creating diverse and expressive textual designs.
ALANA GRAUER
Her name is Alana ((Ah•lay•na).
She originally hails from Connecticut but has called Florida home for the past eight years. Art has always held a special place in her heart since a young age. Alana achieved a bachelor's degree in fine arts from Florida Atlantic University. She immerses herself in painting, drawing, and sculpting when she's not busy tattooing. Tattooing is her passion, providing her with the opportunity to create art on a daily basis. Alana's affinity lies in floral designs, animal depictions, and pet portraits, which she particularly enjoys tattooing. Her expertise lies in black and grey, realism, micro tattoos, and fine-line techniques. As a tattoo artist, her objective is to produce art while fostering a safe and joyful environment for all her clients.
JOE TROY
Joe, a proud New York native, has devoted the greater part of his life to the world of art. His journey as an artist commenced unconventionally, as he is entirely self-taught. Over three and a half decades ago, he embarked on his artistic voyage while serving in the United States Marine Corps as a graphic illustrator. Throughout his illustrious career, Joseph has dabbled in various artistic realms, including airbrushing, pinstriping, crafting custom logos, painting captivating murals, and designing eye-catching signs. However, for the past 13 years, he has immersed himself in the art of tattooing. His remarkable talent lies in his remarkable ability to adapt to his client's unique desires, enabling him to create masterpieces spanning a broad spectrum of tattoo styles effortlessly.
Andre V
Originally hailing from Ukraine, Andre embarked on his journey to Athens, Greece at the tender age of four. It was in the vibrant culture of Greece where he was captivated by the art of tattooing, beginning his career in the craft in 2012. 2023 marked a significant milestone for Andre as he achieved his dream of tattooing in America, settling in South Florida after a brief stint in Ohio. Fluent in English, Andre effortlessly communicates with his clientele. Renowned for his proficiency in both black and gray and his adventurous foray into color, Andre specializes in old school and realism tattoos. Beyond tattooing, he finds solace in creating pencil portraits and cherishes moments spent with his Pitbull, Bruno.
Ivett (e•vet), our studio's Lead Body Piercer & Co-Owner, is a Florida native. From a young age, she exhibited an interest in the world of body art. In 2017 she took a leap of faith and dedicated herself wholeheartedly to this art form.
Ivett prioritizes safety and professionalism, holding certifications in bloodborne pathogens, CPR, and First Aid. She maintains a sterile environment using aseptic techniques and disposable materials. In her piercing room, a Statim 2000 autoclave ensures one-time sterilization. Regular spore testing and sterile integrators guarantee optimal operation. Clients can trust Ivett for a completely sterile procedure, leaving them with a satisfied and radiant smile.
When she is not in the piercing studio, Ivett actively engages in other creative endeavors, such as her photography or crafting.
Eddy Velez
Eddy, is a 30-year-old professional piercer with a passion for body art. Possessing 9 years of experience, he has honed his skills closest to perfection. As a detail-oriented and attentive artist, he strives to create unique and stunning piercings that reflect his clients' personalities. Born and raised in beautiful Puerto Rico, he brings a touch of island charm to every piercing session. Not only skilled in piercing, but Eddy is also tech-savvy with vast experience in video and picture editing, producing outstanding quality work.
RAY ARCE
Ray, our Co-Owner and Color artist, possesses remarkable expertise in Mandala Dotwork, Neo-Traditional, and Black & Grey realism. His continuous training and experience have equipped him with extensive knowledge of the Japanese art form, which serves as a foundation for his captivating creations. Drawing inspiration from renowned artists such as Ed Hardy, Leonardo, and Chris Garver, Ray excels in crafting custom tattoos that fulfill your dreams. In addition to his artistic prowess, Ray takes pride in his past as an Army Scout. As a gesture of appreciation, he offers a special discount to fellow veterans and active-duty members, recognizing their service and sacrifice.
